2017 SAN MARINO “World Water Day” 5 Euro Silver coin
On 26th June 2017, the Banca Centrale della Repubblica di San Marino has issued their annual Brilliant Uncirculated 8 Coin set of euro-denominated divisional coins, including the World Water Day silver collector coin. World Water Day is an annual event that was chosen by the United Nations in 1993. The 2017 SAN MARINO “World Water Day“ 5 Euro silver coin designed by the Canadian artist Andrew Lewis.
The silver coin design having a representation of the actual water cycle, from precipitation, to the oceans, to evaporation, enclosed within the shape of a heart to symbolize the cautious management of water. The obverse includes a representation of San Marino’s three towers, located on the three peaks of Monte Titano in the capital and a traditional motif on San Marinese coinage.
The 2017Annual 8 divisional coin set having a limited mintage of 23,000 new and 13,000 of the ‘World Water Day’ coins Woldwide. The Other coins were designed by Arno Ludwig (obverse 2 euro, 1 euro, 50 cents, 20 cents, 10 cents, 5 cents, 2 cents), Antonella Napolione (obverse 1 cent) and Luc Luycx (reverse). The coins are minted by I.P.Z.S. ROMA (or the Italian state mint) on behalf of the Treasury of San Marino.
